"Always There" campaign celebrates past, present, and future of county boards

Always There is a statewide, yearlong campaign to recognize the 50th Anniversary of the creation of Ohio’s county boards of developmental disabilities by the Ohio General Assembly on October 25, 1967.  Featuring stories about people served by county boards of DD, Always There offers a look at the past, present, and future of DD services in Ohio while showcasing the important role that county boards have played in the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families.

In addition to featuring stories about people currently served by county boards, the Always There History Project contains many historical milestones that have taken place over the past 50 years – both here in Ohio and across the country.
