Adam HermanChief Executive Officer
Adam Herman serves as OACB's chief executive officer, a position in which he oversees all association management functions, member relations, strategic planning, and program oversight, among other duties. He also serves a registered executive/agency and legislative lobbyist in the State of Ohio and works to achieve key advocacy objectives on behalf of county boards.
Herman joined OACB in 2011 as communications director after working on behalf of various state and local elected officials. In this role, he managed several statewide awareness and branding campaigns, oversaw all internal and external organizational communications, led strategic advocacy and messaging efforts, and served the organization’s chief media spokesperson for nearly a decade.
After assuming greater levels of day-to-day operational oversight for key association initiatives, including many overall member support and state advocacy efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic, he was elevated to the role of chief operating officer in January 2021. On August 1, 2022, following a national search in which 85 applicants from 18 states were considered for the position, Herman was named chief executive officer by the OACB Board of Trustees.
A Canton native, Herman is a graduate of Kent State University in Kent, OH. He lives in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus.
