Levies help improve quality of life for people with disabilities

Published Tuesday, February 14, 2012

I am the parent of a special son with multiple disabilities. Though he has limited skills, his favorite activity is going for walks. We are so fortunate to live in an area that has a selection of parks and trails where we can enjoy the beauty of Licking County in a variety of locations. Supporting the Licking Park District levy assures that these valuable assets will be preserved for all to enjoy.

The Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities has provided services to our son for more than 20 years. He and so many others benefit from early intervention, transportation, service coordination and adult services. Without these, the quality of life for those with disabilities would be greatly diminished.
