Introducing MemberConnectOACB is pleased to announce the launch of MemberConnect, a new, online, member services portal that has been under custom development since 2013.
While MemberConnect offers many positive benefits to OACB and its members, its primary purpose is to provide county board members, staff, affiliate members, and other friends of Ohio’s county boards of DD system with a one-stop portal for all of the services and programs offered by OACB. When fully operational, MemberConnect will be your way to access the following OACB member services:
- Phase 1: Member Directory and Service Interaction Logs,
- Phase 2: Document Center,
- Phase 3: Event Registration, and
- Phase 4: Job Bank
Additional services may be also be developed as MemberConnect continues to grow in response to member feedback. For more information about each feature area, please see below.
Overview of MemberConnect Services
Phase 1 Launch: Member Directory (ACTIVE) The first phase of MemberConnect came online in February 2014. On that date, users were able to register for MemberConnect to access a vastly improved member directory experience than what was previously available.
On March 31, OACB removed the extended contact information from our public-facing website - this means individuals will no longer be able to access the extended Member Directory without using their MemberConnect login. After March 31, the public-facing member directory only contained basic information about county boards of DD, including: mailing address, primary phone number, web site, and superintendent name.
Phase 2 Launch: Document Center (ACTIVE) The second phase of MemberConnect - Document Center - has been active since summer 2015. This service greatly enhances the ability of OACB members to securely access important documents online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using a members-only access portal tied to their MemberConnect account. The Document Center has replaced OACB’s Data Library, which is no longer accessible. All documents, from important advocacy documents to Legal Alerts to member survey results/databases are now stored in this easy-to-access area.
Phase 3 Launch: Event Registration (ACTIVE) The third phase of MemberConnect - Event Registration - launched prior to the 2015 OACB Annual Convention. This feature replaced OACB’s existing Event Registration process and ties all event registrations to users’ MemberConnect accounts. All OACB events are now registered through MemberConnect.
Phase 4 Launch: Job Bank (ACTIVE) The fourth phase of MemberConnect - Job Bank - became active in March 2016. This new and improved Job Bank ties job posting creation and editing capabilities to users’ MemberConnect accounts. Additional features, such as job search, posting notifications, etc. are currently in development and will be announced as they are completed.
