2018 DD Awareness Theme: Celebrate Community

DD Awareness Month is here! To help county boards of developmental disabilities prepare for and celebrate throughout the month of March, OACB has made the branding images for this year's DD Awareness Month theme—Celebrate Community—available for download below. This year's theme comes courtesy of the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council and will be used at the 2018 DD Awareness & Advocacy Day celebration at the Ohio Statehouse on March 7.

Background

This January, OACB conducted a survey of county board superintendents and public relations staffers to solicit feedback on potential themes for 2018 DD Awareness Month. After receiving responses from across the state, "Celebrate Community"—the theme developed by DD Council for use at DD Awareness & Advocacy Day—emerged as the clear preference of Ohio's county board professionals.
