Adam Herman
Chief Executive Officer
Adam Herman serves as OACB’s Chief Executive Officer, where he oversees all association management functions, member relations, strategic planning, and program oversight. He is also a registered executive agency and legislative lobbyist in the State of Ohio and works to advance key advocacy priorities on behalf of county boards.
Herman joined OACB in 2011 as Communications Director after working on behalf of various state and local elected officials. In that role, he led several statewide awareness and branding campaigns, oversaw all internal and external communications, directed strategic advocacy and messaging efforts, and served as the organization’s chief media spokesperson for nearly a decade.
After assuming increased day-to-day operational oversight of major association initiatives — including member support and statewide advocacy efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic — he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in January 2021. On August 1, 2022, following a national search that included 85 applicants from 18 states, Herman was appointed Chief Executive Officer by the OACB Board of Trustees.
A Canton native, Herman is a graduate of Kent State University. He lives in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus.
