Andy Jesson serves as Policy Coordinator, supporting the association’s policy team in advancing priorities that impact Ohio’s developmental disabilities system. In this role, he helps maintain relationships with policymakers, state agencies, and key stakeholders, manages legislative and rule trackers, prepares fact sheets and policy briefs, and assists with research and analysis that supports OACB’s policy agenda.
Andy joined the association in April 2025 and previously worked in state and federal legislative offices, a health policy organization focused on U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issues, and a nonprofit focused on behavioral health.
His work focuses on policy research, evaluation, and advocacy. Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and a Master of Public Administration from The Ohio State University. He also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
Andy is motivated by knowing that the work done at OACB has a real impact on the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families across Ohio. Outside of work, he enjoys watching Ohio State football and spending time at home in Dublin with his wife and their two cats, Toobie and Solomon.
