Marci Straughter serves as a trustee for the South Central Region. She is also Vice President of the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities, where she made history as the first person with a developmental disability to hold that position.
A passionate advocate and leader, Marci also serves on the Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council, helping shape policies that promote independence and inclusion. She is a former member of the Council of Ohio Leaders (COOL), supporting statewide self-advocacy efforts.
As a Statewide Trainer with Project STIR (Steps Toward Independence and Responsibility), Marci has empowered more than 150 advocates across Ohio to find their voice and lead in their communities.
