Vice President (Lawrence DD)

Mandy Carte serves as Vice President of the Board of Trustees and represents At-Large Middle Third. She is also the secretary of Lawrence DD, where she has served as a board member for four years. Mandy has been an OACB trustee for two years.

Mandy’s connection to the developmental disabilities system is personal. Her nephew, Lennon, receives services and attends Open Door School in Lawrence County. Seeing the impact of these supports on her family has deepened her commitment to strong, sustainable services.

A mom and community advocate, Mandy believes belonging starts close to home. She is passionate about inclusion, local connection, and creating spaces where families feel supported. Her advocacy priorities include sustainable and equitable funding, protecting SSA as a public safeguard, strengthening family supports, and modernizing system structures while preserving local governance and accountability.

Mandy serves as an OACB trustee because she cares deeply about the families and communities that rely on the county board system. She is committed to thoughtful, steady leadership that protects core services and ensures a sustainable future.
