OACB Event Coordinator Ann Neu accepts new position at Nationwide Children's

The OACB team would like to join members in bidding a warm farewell to Ann Neu, who has accepted a new position at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Ann's last day at OACB will be this Thursday, February 6.

She will begin her new duties Monday as Administrative Coordinator for Nationwide's Neonatology Department, where she will oversee certification renewals and professional association memberships for doctors working with medically fragile babies.

Ann has served as OACB's Event Coordinator since May 2007. In this position, she has overseen all of OACB's flagship professional development events, including the Annual Convention, Spring Conference, SSA Forums, and more. She has managed events with as few as 25 attendees and as many as 1,000.

Her contributions have included working with venue staff to improve behind-the-scenes operations and creating internal processes to help make planning simpler for OACB team members. Ann has been instrumental in the development and growth of OACB's Executive Development Program (EDP), which is now in its ninth iteration.

Prior to taking over event coordination in 2007, Ann worked for several years as OACB's Executive Assistant beginning in 2002. Before joining the association's team, she served as a coordinator for legal and regulatory services and as executive assistant to the vice president of outcomes measurement resources at Mount Carmel Health System. From 1990 to 1995, Ann worked as an executive assistant in the special investigation unit at Metropolitan Insurance.

"I’ve enjoyed meeting new people throughout the years, seeing people come and go, and watching Ohio’s DD leaders grow as a professional community," Ann said. "I'm grateful for the support of our professional community through life's challenges, and I'm happy I had the chance to be part of it."

OACB wishes Ann the best in her new position and appreciates her years of service to Ohio's county board system. She will be sorely missed!
