Due to ongoing concerns related to the spread of COVID-19, OACB has cancelled the association's upcoming 2020 Spring Conference. The conference was scheduled for May 28-29, 2020, at the Hilton Columbus at Easton. The event will not be rescheduled. As no event registrations have been accepted, no attendees will be billed.
Hotel Reservations
If you have booked a room at the Hilton Columbus at Easton, your reservation should be cancelled automatically by the hotel, which is temporarily suspending operations. If you do not receive a notification of your cancellation, OACB recommends that you call the hotel at 614-414-5000 to ensure your cancellation is processed.
If you have booked a room at any hotel other than the Hilton, please call your hotel and cancel your reservation now to avoid unnecessary costs.
Will Something Be Offered in the Conference's Place?
OACB is exploring possibilities, and it would be our preference to continue offering professional development for our members to the extent that doing so is safe, advisable, and feasible under the circumstances.
Due to the current level of uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and the limitations necessitated by the state's ongoing stay-at-home order, however, is not clear whether or how a substitute for the Spring Conference can be offered. OACB will continue to explore alternatives and share professional development updates as information becomes available.
Summer/Fall OACB Events Remain Unaffected
The association's remaining events (including the August SSA Forum, the second half of the 2020 Executive Development Program, and the OACB Annual Convention) are scheduled to continue forward as planned at this time. If the state's public health situation should change to such an extent that these events must be cancelled or rescheduled, OACB will share these changes with members as soon as possible.
