DD Board Deals with Budget Review

The Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities Board’s five-year fiscal forecast projects that the DD Board will remain in the black through 2022, members learned at a recent meeting.

Superintendent Saul Bauer reviewed the 2018 budget which projects a four percent drop in revenue largely because of the loss of tangible personal property tax revenue and a 22 percent increase in expenditures largely because of capital expenses resulting from the Discovery Center repairs and other needs.

In introductory discussions, over-all expenses for 2017 are projected to be $270,761 lower than 2016 actuals and the over-all revenues for 2017 are projected to be $386,032 less than 2016 actuals.

It was noted that the variances from 2016 to 2017 are largely because of the transition of RTC industries.
