In the news
The Ashtabula County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the services they provide are a true jewel of Ashtabula County. My husband Steve and I ask the residents of our county to please support their vital levy, Issue 3.
Our son Stephen has been receiving the board’s services for approximately 31 years. As a 6-month-old infant, he was enrolled in the early intervention program at Happy Hearts School. He was then a student at Happy Hearts School and now he is a client at Ash Craft Industries. The day services that he has received at Happy Hearts School and Ash Craft Industries have been second to none. We believe these services are those types of services that if you don’t need them, you don’t think about them.
Steve and I implore you to visit both of these wonderful facilities and see for yourself. The staff, students and clients will welcome you with open arms. You will walk away amazed.
The residents of Ashtabula County have been extremely generous over the years in supporting the Ashtabula County Board of DD levies and we ask that you continue to do so.
Emma Thompson once said, “Being disabled should not mean being disqualified from having access to every aspect of life.”
