The Ashland County Board of Developmental Disabilities had the opportunity to contribute to the Ohio Time Capsule on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Attending the “Always There” campaign event at the Columbus Statehouse Jimmy Weaver and Bryan Vura placed the Ashland County contribution into the time capsule.
The campaign is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ohio Senate Bill 169, which established county boards of developmental disabilities in Ohio. The time capsule will hold items from all 88 counties and will be opened on the 75th anniversary after a resolution passed Tuesday.
Members of the Ashland County delegation later met with Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof’s staff and also met with Representative Darrell Kick.
