GCBDD to Host STABLE Account Financial Forum

Published Thursday, October 5, 2017

The Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD), also known as the Metzenbaum Center, is hosting a family forum about Ohio STABLE Accounts on Oct. 17, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Metzenbaum Center, 8200 Cedar Road in Chester Township.

A STABLE Account is a nationwide enrollment program for individuals with disabilities that allows individuals to enroll in a tax-free savings plan for disability-related expenses. STABLE Accounts are made possible by the federal Achieving a Better Life Experience (“ABLE”) Act. With a STABLE Account, individuals with disabilities can save and invest without losing government benefits such as Medicaid or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

The forum will be presented by Jessica Dragar from the Office of the Ohio Treasurer.

To attend, RSVP to Tami Setlock at or call 440-729-9406. Dinner will be provided.
