Bridget Gargan joined OACB as Executive Director in July 2013. Before coming to the Association, Bridget was Vice President of Government Affairs for the Ohio Hospital Association, where she was responsible for all state level advocacy and represented hospitals before the legislative and executive branches of government. She joined the OHA team in 1992 after working for long-time Ohio House Speaker Vern Riffe and Prentice Hall, Inc.
At OACB, Bridget serves as the organization's chief executive, and is responsible for all management functions, member relations duties, and program oversight.
In her personal time, Bridget has been active in many community organizations in the social services realm over the years, including volunteer leadership positions with United Cerebral Palsy, Inc. of Central Ohio, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Mid-Ohio Chapter), and Amethyst, a long-term drug and alcohol treatment center located in Columbus.
A native of Kent, Ohio, Bridget graduated cum laude from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in rhetoric and communications and a minor in political science. She currently lives in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus.
