35th Annual Convention Keynote: Futurist Michael Rogers
Rogers will challenge conventional understandings of the future as something that is passively experienced and encourage attendees to actively create and pursue their own paths. Using the framework of futurist thinking and drawing on lessons from the worlds of technology, business, and health care, Rogers will give board leaders practical tools they can use to set our system's direction and build the county board of the future.
Rogers was vice president of the Washington Post Company’s new media division for 10 years and served as futurist-in-residence for two years at the New York Times. He is a columnist for NBC.com, a co-founder of Outside magazine, and a best-selling novelist and non-fiction writer. He has helped some of the nation's most recognizable organizations (including the American Bar Association, Boeing, Coca-Cola, JP MorganChase, Microsoft, and others) rethink how they envision, prepare for, and craft the future.
