Distinguished Service AwardCommissioned in 2006, this Annual Award recognizes three (3) Board Members, Employees, or Volunteers - one from a small county, one from a medium sized county and one from a large county - for their outstanding service and commitment to their local County Board of DD. The recipient need not have served as a Trustee on the Ohio Association of County Boards to be selected, but should have served on some statewide board (i.e., ARC Ohio, DD Council, etc.). Individuals are nominated by local county boards, who are asked to provide a one-page overview of why the candidate is a worthy recipient. Nominees are judged through a review of a one-page overview of if the individual is a worthy recipient of the award. The award is presented at the Annual Convention.
