Dan Ohler
Executive Director
 On July 1, 2003, the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association of County Boards Serving People with Developmental Disabilities (OACB) appointed Dan Ohler as the organization’s second Executive Director. Ohler joined the OACB in January 2002 as the Assistant Executive Director, a post he held for 18 months. Prior to joining the OACB, he spent four years with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities as Deputy Director of Community Medicaid Services and nearly ten years in a variety of positions with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.
In January 2010, Ohler began a two-year term as Board President for the National Association of County Behavioral Health & Developmental Disability Directors (NACBHDD) in Washington. NACBHDD is an affiliate of the National Association of Counties and is the only association in the country that represents county governmental agencies who administer services for the developmental disabilities population. He was elected to the Board of Directors of NACBHDD in March 2006 and served a two-year term as Vice-President from 2008-2009.
As the Executive Director, Ohler is responsible for implementation of OACB’s Strategic Plan. He is actively engaged in Legislative and Executive Agency Lobbying, conducts Board Member training and assists member Boards with a variety of Administrative and technical issues. He oversees all personnel issues and works with OACB’s Comptroller on the financial management of the organization.
Ohler received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio in December 2000. He earned his B.S.B.A. from West Liberty State College in Wheeling, W.V. in May 1987 and was also the recipient of the Fredrick Taylor Award as the Outstanding Graduate in the School of Business Administration. In addition, he earned the professional designation Associate in Claims from the Insurance Institute of America in January 1996.
