Adam HermanCommunications Director
 Adam Herman joined OACB as Communications Director in February 2011. Before coming to the Association, he worked as Communications Director for Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray's re-election campaign, in which he managed all media inquiries, social media, and electronic voter communication. He also acted as a strategic advisor on messaging and paid media (including direct mail, television/radio commercials, and print/Web advertisements) for the campaign.
Herman previously held the position of Communications Director for the City of Canton, Ohio, where he handled media inquiries, public relations, online communications, marketing, and information technology duties for the executive branch of city government. Prior to that, he performed in a similar capacity for former Minority Leader Joyce Beatty and the Democratic caucus of the Ohio House of Representatives, in addition to acting as a paid consultant on numerous Statehouse and local campaigns.
As part of his job responsibilities, Herman advises Association members, staff, and the Board of Trustees on a variety of matters, including: media relations, organizational communications, marketing and branding, social media, Web development, print publications, and serves as the managing editor of DD Advocate, the association's quarterly magazine. He is also registered as a legislative and executive agent and coordinates legislative communications and other similar activity under the leadership of the Executive Director.
Herman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) in Political Science from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Originally from Stark County, Herman now lives in Columbus (Galloway).
