Erich Hiner joined OACB as Communications Coordinator in September 2014. Prior to his current position, he worked as an editor for Global Water Intelligence, an international trade magazine focused on the business of water and wastewater treatment and technology. In this position, he managed the magazine’s North American editorial team and regularly contributed to stories, projects, and research. Hiner previously worked at GWI’s U.S. spinoff magazine where he was a senior reporter. In addition to his editorial duties, Hiner assisted with conference and event planning, social media management, media outreach, and database maintenance.
In his current position, Hiner reports to OACB’s Communications Director on matters such as marketing, branding, print publications, audio/visual production, media/public relations, and social media. Hiner holds a bachelor’s of science in journalism (summa cum laude) from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. A native of Geauga County, he now lives in Columbus.
